- I'm looking for a commercial grade Unix based systems level C++
- class library, one that would encapsulate standard systems level
- functionality and ease its use. I would have thought this an
- obvious and simple thing to find; however, between the dozens
- of database libraries and GUI libraries, something as fundamental
- as this seems lacking. Encapsulating things like streams, sockets,
- pipes, files, FIFOs, semaphores would be a sensible thing to do, wouldn't
- it? Or am I simply kidding myself?
-
- I am currently writing these things myself as I need them; buying a good
- systems library would save me time, effort, and our client would save a
- lot of money.
-
- If you have any clues, suggestions, please feel free to email me at the
- address below; our usenet feed is unfortunately very unreliable.
